Position Summary:
The Product Development team is looking for a Senior Curriculum Developer Director to lead and optimize the creation of the current curriculum. The individual will be the leader of a team responsible for building, developing and maintaining online education materials and lesson plans. The candidate will develop and support online real-time teaching delivery: present information to targeted groups and partner with Academic Operations Management to control teaching performance and to reach GVE educational goals.


  • Organize and lead the content team to create the overall learning content for GVE online education platform
  • Conduct research, produce reports and administer education policies and programs
  • Evaluate curriculum programs and recommend improvements
  • Develop the structure, content and objectives of new programs
  • Work closely with Academic Operation Managers and Instructional Designers to get thorough understanding of the learning cycles of target audiences
  • Identify cultural elements integrated to language learning
  • Design learning scopes for online real-time speaking classes
  • Coordinate learning experiences within GVE e-Learning platform and GVE tutors
  • Partner with the Instructional Designers to create teaching manuals
  • Provide support and advice in creating the overall learning content for GVE’s online education platform
  • Work closely with Curriculum Developers to get a thorough understanding of the existing curriculum and the learning cycles of target audiences
  • Partner with the Academic Operations Management team to create teaching manuals
  • Partner with publishers to ensure products are catered for global market in a timely manner
  • Work closely with English Tutors, Chinese Teachers, and internal employees to maintain clear understanding of products
  • Repot to CEO and other management members on related comprehensive projects on a weekly basis.


Skills and Experience:


  • University degree in Education or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in ESL content design and editing
  • Previous experience with learning materials and lesson plans
  • Proven skills in verbal and written communication
  • Leadership, vision on ESL industry.
  • Proficient in Mandarin & English
  • Academic background in Education or relevant experience
  • Familiarity with Chinese national curriculum


  • Passionate about language education knowledge of the fundamentals of web-based-training instructional design
  • Experience in training and managing teachers an asset
